Stuck with a small outdated and aging concrete patio after moving in, this client called Wattle to modernize the outdoor living space and activate areas throughout the landscape. We emphasize access throughout the landscape with a variety of tactics like extending a timber walkway into the woods and increasing the square footage of living space in general. This allows for a variety of new program like meditation space, outdoor kitchen, and outdoor dining. The timber pathway is minimally intrusive into the rootzone of the forest and allows water to naturally drain below it in a planted swale.
