Landscape is central to the revitalization approach of the future Inn at Lake Norman. By shifting a small amount of parking to the front of the hotel, we are able to create a warm environment for visitors while supporting local ecology through native plantings. The ramps through the plantings create ADA accessibility throughout the complex while distancing the visitors from the vehicular traffic of the lot and the street. Gathering spaces and benches are placed throughout the landscape to offer respite and create designated meeting spaces for groups.
