Tucked in at the end of a cul-de-sac, the client’s property is overburdened with stormwater during rain events and contacted Wattle to help mitigate issues of erosion throughout the property. Rather than pipe the water through an expensive and burdensome engineered system we decided to give water it’s space through a network of swales allowing the water to be thoroughly slowed and filtered prior to entering the municipal drainage easement. On the flip side, we negotiated additional space for the budding family by way of a terrace for ball-games and entertaining - thereby, negotiating environmental and human pressures on the property.
