After buying their new home on Providence Road the client wanted a landscape that complemented the modern architecture and enhanced their experience outside. Being a narrow site we allowed elements to overlap creating a novel pool experience with a cantilever deck partially covering the pool. This cools the water in summer and invites a unique experience with the water. A xerophytic planting design emphasizes unique native plants like Agave and Yucca’s to contract with softer textured grasses and drought-tolerant groundcovers.
