/\ggregate is a design-research platform exploring the role of design in questioning historic notions of urban flux and stasis by seeking alternative means of development that are more resilient and mindful of contemporary urban conditions.

The transformation of Charlotte Metropolitan Region (CMR) and urban landscapes is an on-going process deserving of speculative proposals that seek to understand and build upon it’s complexities.

A more recent understanding of the role of design seeks to identify the layers inherent in these urban conditions and to propose holistic strategies that navigate their implications through design. With conscientious design approaches we will address the next phase in the project of urbanity.
